Tomatoes are a delicious, healthy fruit that is not only good for you but tastes great as well. However, many people do not know the best way to juice tomatoes so they can enjoy it in their juices. The following article will go over how to properly juice tomatoes with different types of juicers and which ones are better suited for tomato juicing specifically.
If you’re unsure about juicing tomatoes or how often you should drink tomato juice, take a look at my in depth article. I’ve covered everything you need to know about the health benefits of tomato juice. But for now, let’s jump straight in and take a look at the best juicers for tomatoes:

I’ve started this list with an electric tomato juicer, rather than a traditional juicing machine. It really depends on the abundance of tomatoes you have each year and what you like to do with the tomatoes, as to whether or not this will be suitable for you.
If you’re a fan of prepping, canning and storing this electric tomato juicer can work its way through 5 pounds of tomatoes in less than 10 minutes. With three included screens, you can make tomato puree, salsa or juice.
It doesn’t only work with tomatoes also, use it to make canned pumpkin puree, make seedless jam, homemade apple sauce (after cooking the apples first), cranberry jelly – you name it!
With a powerful 250 watt motor, this machine makes light work of juicing tomatoes. It weighs just under 11 pounds.
I wanted to include this on the list of best juicers for tomatoes, as a different option to an electric juicer. Here are some of the pros and cons with this machine:
High End Tomato Juicer – Raw Rutes Electric Tomato Strainer

If you are serious about getting the most out of your tomatoes take a look at the Italian made Raw Rutes electric tomato strainer.
What you need to keep in mind with a machine like this however, is it removes the skins and seeds from tomatoes only. What you are left with is thick tomato puree as the flesh of the tomato is ground and pushed through the screen.
This type of machine is best suited to making tomato sauces, but if you’re a fan of thick or pulpy juice, it could work for you.
What I like about a machine such as this is there is virtually no wastage. Although not technically a juicer, for those who like to grow their own tomatoes, can tomatoes for future use or make home made sauces and soups, this machine really can do it all.

This Omega Juicer is among the best juicers for tomatoes. After all, you’ll want one that will extract maximum nutrients and vitamins while leaving behind any unnecessary pulp or skin.
Creating high nutrition value juices, you will find all the enzymes, vitamins, and minerals in good shape because of this juicer. As a premium juicer and nutrition center provides an easy way for anyone to make healthy juices at home, as well as nut butters, nut milks, frozen fruit sorbets, baby food, fresh herb pastes and extrude fresh pasta.
Omega juicers are a little pricey, but certainly not the most expensive juicers on the market. If you have been frustrated with the low quality of other juicers in the past, then this Omega NC900HDC Juicer may be just what you are looking for.
Features and Benefits
- Power: This juicer is quite powerful yet quiet with no noise. The gear reduction on this slow masticating juicer is equivalent to a 2 HP motor, yet it operates at 150 watts to keep your power consumption low.
- Variable Pulp: This juicer also has a unique adjustable cap. You can use this adjustable cap to adjust the level of juice and pulp in your drink. This is a better design than some other juicers that have different screens for varying levels of pulp and juice. You can adjust the pulp during juicing and don’t need to pull apart the machine.
- Compact: The Omega NC900HDC dimensions are 14.5 inches x 6.5 inches x 15.5 inches with a total weight of 13 pounds. It’s boxy, so it fits under overhead cupboards, has a functional handle on top and a slightly larger chute feeder than preceeding Omega models.
- Built to Last: With an industry leading 15 year warranty and replacement parts available, Omega juicers are one of the best.

This European engineered centrifugal juicer is inexpensive and fast. The Mueller juicer will help you make tomato juice quickly and with very minimal preparation. There are two speed settings as well, lower speed for softer fruits (including tomatoes) and a higher speed for harder veggies such as carrots.
It’s economical to purchase, priced well under $100 on Amazon. The downside with centrifugal juicers is you don’t get as much juice extraction as you will with a masticating juicer.
The removable parts can be put in the top rack of the dishwasher. It also comes with a two year warranty. If fast juice extraction and quick clean up is your preference, centrifugal juicers such as the Mueller are the way to go.

If you have large tomatoes to juice, a manual juice press is an economical option for making tomato juice.
Requiring no electricity, simply cut your tomatoes in half, place in the juice press and pull down the handle.
The larger holes in the strainer are likely to let some pulp and seeds through, so you will most likely need an additional strainer to remove both of these.
Using a manual press like this one is also a two person job at times. It really depends on how strong you are, as you will need to hold the base as you pull down the handle. Due to the tall nature of the juicer press it is prone to tilting over. Keep this in mind if considering a manual juice press for tomatoes.
Overall however, this is an economical and simple solution to making tomato juice quickly, without the set up and clean up of a larger juicing machine. It is an excellent choice for citrus fruits and also works well with pomegranates.

If you’re on a budget but still looking for a versatile masticating juicer, take a look at the Qualeben wide chute juicer.
This stylish juicer has a wide feed chute with two openings to fit whole tomatoes.
Not only is it 3 inches wide (which would fit larger chunks of tomatoes, or smaller whole tomatoes), inserting your fruit and vegetables on an angle helps the auger to grab them and start masticating the juice.
There is a reverse function if your tomatoes get stuck and clean up is simple, with a push button to disconnect all removable parts from the juicer motor.
Here are my pros and cons for the Qualeben juicer:
Conclusion – What is the Best Tomato Juicer?
There are two clear choices when considering the best juicers for tomatoes. They are:
Best for Juice to Drink![]() | Best for Canning and Sauces![]() |

The Weston is more of a sauce or pureed tomato maker than a specific juicer. Whilst it removes the seeds and skins, the pulp is mostly maintained and mixed through, making a thicker more puree type juice. If you’re an occasional tomato juice drinker but like to make your own home made tomato pasta sauces or salsas, the Weston is a good choice.
If you’re fan of thinner, pulp free juices the Omega is a better choice. You also have the versatility of making other types of fruit and vegetables juices as well as the other various functions that the Omega offers. It is overall the most versatile machine when considering juicers to make tomato juice.
